Dark Waters

Sam felt the sun shining down on his shoulders while he sat happily by the stream. It was a perfect sunny day and luckily he was spending it with Sarah. Then, all at once Sarah pointed at the water.

“Look Sam!” Sarah exclaimed. “It is a shark!” The shark circled the water around them creating waves. Then in the distance you could see more fins coming closer to us.

"Wait!" Sam yelled. "Their not sharks, their dolphins,"

"Oh thank the lord," said Sarah.

The dolphins came closer the the children, and popped their heads out of the water. Sam stuck his hand out to pet the dolphin. And then we jumped into the water and the dolphins took them for rides through the water. Our pet cat loves water. He jumped in the water and started swimming with us.

"Ouch!" yelled Sam.

"What's wrong?" asked Sarah.

"I cut my foot on something!" said Sam.

"Let me see," said Sarah.

His foot was cut pretty bad, there was a rusty piece of metal floating by. The cut was really deep and he started to bleed. I hoped that there was no sharks that could smell the scent. We were out pretty far in the water, we started to swim back. It was harder for Sam so I swam slow with him.

"Is there any way you can swim faster?" asked Sarah.

"I'm trying to swim as fast as I can Sarah," said Sam.

At this point I was trying to swim fast and pull Sam with me. I knew if we swam faster we might be able to make it. We were leaving an awful big trail of blood now. I knew the sharks were on their way, I could already feel the waves getting bigger. We were closer to shore and we could touch the ground if we bounced, but that would just slow us down.

"We have to keep swimming!" yelled Sarah.

"I know, if we start slowing down, there is no way we can get to the shore," said Sam.

I checked behind us to check for any sharks. I could see in the distance coming our way were some fins.

"There coming Sam!" yelled Sarah.

"Hurry!" exclaimed Sam.

"You swim as fast as you can, I'll stay behind so you can get to shore," said Sarah.

"No, there's no way I'm leaving you behind!" yelled Sam.

"Just go!" exclaimed Sarah.

Sam kept swimming as fast as he could, he still was going pretty slow though. Sarah started to slow down and she saw the sharks were right behind her. So she started swimming, she knew there would be no way she would make it now. She looked ahead and she was so close to the shore. She saw Sam on the shore breathing so hard, he just fell to the ground. She saw their cat on the shore too. She was just happy that her brother made it back safe. All of a sudden she felt something slimy against her skin. And something chomped into her leg. She started screaming, and kicking the shark while trying to get away. Sam looked out to the water and started crying. Then she heard a whole bunch of splashes by her. The shark let go and Sarah started swimming as fast as she could to the shore. Sam came into the water to be ready to help his sister onto shore. She looked back and saw that the dolphins were attacking the sharks. She made it to shore and hugged her brother in relief, her leg had a lot of deep bite marks. It was bleeding really bad and it was all messed up. Her brother helped her to their cabin and their parents drove them to the nearest hospital in the next town. Sarah had to have from her knee down amputated, and she got a fake leg to use. She wouldn't be able to swim for a while. They gave her a waterproof leg so that when the time came she could go swimming again. She was very sad that she had to loose her leg, but she did it for her brother. Sarah got used to using the fake leg, it was a pain though. Sometimes she lost her balance and would fall down and knock stuff over. After almost a year she was back to how she was before, but just with a different leg.

The Big Purple Dragon

I thought I’d never see him again, but here he was... a BIG purple dragon. He was flying around like a bird in the sky except he was about 50 times the size as a sparrow. All the people around the town were wondering what it was. I was telling them it was a dragon but no one believed me. Then he came down and ate 3 people. Everyone was running in circles screaming like little girls, but I knew what to do! I ran home and hid in my basement. That didn't seem like the right thing to do so I ran and got the gun from the gun safe. I went at shot that dragon down and I stuffed it and put it in my backyard!

People asked " How did you manage to kill it?"

I said " I just shot him lots!"

They said " That is impossible! "

All I said was " It happened." ...and you thought dragons didn’t exist.
Sam felt the sun shining down on his shoulders while he sat happily by the stream. It was a perfect sunny day and luckily he was spending it with Sarah. Then, all at once Sarah pointed at the water.

“Look Sam!” Sarah exclaimed. “ it is a person floating."

They picked the person up and they looked at her. They realized it was there best friend Brooke...

"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! " said Sam. "Shes dead!"
But what they didn't know was that every Saturday she goes floating down the stream. Sam ran. Then Brooke started to chase him.

Sarah said, "SAM WATCH OUT SHES AFTER YOU!"

They both screamed "Shes a ghost"
But really she was still a live.
They both yelled at her because they thought she was dead!
From that day on they never went back to the stream.

The Great Rescue

Sam felt the sun shining down on his shoulders while he sat happily by the stream. It was a perfect sunny day and luckily he was spending it with Sarah. Then, all at once Sarah pointed at the water.

“Look Sam!” Sarah exclaimed. “It is a....baby cat."

Sam yelled, "We have to go rescue it."

"But how in the world are we going to do that?" asked Sarah. "The water is very very deep here."
The two kids follow the baby cat as it floats down the river with no help.

" I wish we could find something so we could pull it out." sighed Sam.
They keep walking, and five minutes later Sarah yells...

"Look." she said " I found an old net!"

"Great, now we can pull the cat out." exclaimed Sam with excitement.

They carefully cast the net out into the river, but it missed the cat. They try again and this time they catch the cat and carefully pull it to shore.

"Can we keep him?" asked Sarah with hope in her voice.

"Let's do it." answered Sam."Were going to name it Bruce!"

"That's a great name. Let's go home." said Sarah

They take the cat, go home and live happily ever after with the cat.

The war

My legs were beginning to cramp as I sat motionless in my hiding place. I tried to slow my breathing, but I could hear my heartbeat drumming in my ears. I wondered if it could be heard in the deafening silence. I felt my calf muscle tighten painfully and as a reaction, I shifted my weight. The sound echoed and it was my fatal mistake. Enemy team heard me move and were advancing toward me. I fired off three shots and booked it through the trees. I ran under logs and ran up the hill. I got away just in time I saw base camp but it was at least half a kilometer away. That' s a long distance in war. I ran but I tripped over a fallen tree. I got up to find a flank from the enemy team.

Thank god they didn't notice me. I sneaked past them and got to base camp to see that everyone was gone. Either they were all dead or they went out to flank the enemy team. I got more ammo and a new gun. I got prepared for the worst I snuck out just to hear the enemies reach our base camp. They didn't hear me, so I figured that I would be able to sneak away.

I got back to the hill and saw there were three enemy flanks two going around the hill one on each side and the one at our base camp. Since everyone that I saw so far was going to my base camp I decided to go to there base camp and see if anyone was there.

I got to the enemy base camp and no one was there I was behind enemy line with no one to help me. Then all of a sudden I hear unfamiliar voices so I readied myself and slowly started walking toward the noises. It was right there what ever it was I looked behind the bushes to find three enemies I shot two but got shot in the helmet twice. I was out of the paintball war.

The Brass Clarinet

My legs were beginning to cramp as I sat motionless in my hiding place. I tried to slow my breathing, but I could hear my heartbeat drumming in my ears. I wondered if it could be heard in the deafening silence. I felt my calf muscle tighten painfully and as a reaction, I shifted my weight. The sound echoed and it was my fatal mistake…

Suddenly, the world around me erupted into a state of chaos. I knew my hiding place wasn't safe anymore so I jumped up, hidden behind a clump of trees and ran, ignoring the pain in my calf. I sprinted through the trees as fast as my legs could carry me ducking as different branches threatened to knock me over. I didn't know where I was going but I kept running. I could hear people yelling behind me and I knew guards must have been sent out to find me.

I couldn't keep running forever and I needed a new place to rest. About 30 yards to my left was a tree. From what I guessed it was about 100 feet tall with thick, sturdy branches. I turned and ran towards it. Jumping I managed to get my hands around a small branch. Using the momentum from running, I managed to swing myself around and land on a higher branch. From then, despite the constant pull from my half asleep calf. I started to climb. I was about 30 feet up when I heard the guards voices, forcing me to stop.

I couldn't make out what they were saying because of the pounding in my ears but I knew they were arguing. They kept pointing around which made me think they were looking for me. Suddenly, my foot slipped and I crashed to a lower branch. The guards looked up.

"Hey!" the first one called. "Come down here and hand over the clarinet, or we'll send someone up!" The second guard nodded, a scowl plastered on his face.

For the first time I remembered the backpack I had slung across one shoulder. Quickly, making sure the zipper was closed the full way, I repositioned it over both shoulders and continued to climb. When I though I was a safe distance up the tree I called down to them.

"If you want it, then come up and get it!" I kept my tone light and mocking. "Otherwise I think I'll keep it for a little while longer."

One of the guards yelled something again but I wasn't listening. I was searching for an escape route of some sort. Finally I spotted a crack against a boulder that could be used for a cave. I would have to wait for the guards to go away before I could head there. But would they leave soon?

I looked down to see where they were. They weren't there. I searched the whole area but I couldn't find them anywhere. I knew if I was going to move I had to do it now. Instead of risking the ground I jumped from tree to tree, occasionally slipping because of my calf which was starting to wake up.

Finally I reached the tree right in front of the cave and slowly climbed down the slender branches. When I reached the ground I dashed into the cave. Sitting down, I opened the backpack with shaky fingers. Inside I could see the clarinet. Made from pure brass, this was not an ordinary clarinet. All someone had to do was play a specific rhythm and they would have complete mind control over everyone in a three mile radius.

My job was to steal the clarinet and bring it to my boss, the president of the FBI. I was mainly on the squad because I was tiny and good at stealing things. Our job was to keep it away from people who would misuse it. I was just putting it back into the bag when the ground started to shake.

Pieces of rock and ash were falling down on me from the cave walls and ceiling. Coughing, I ran out into the open and felt the full impact of an explosion, sending me into the air. I landed with a thud under a tree. The backpack was lying about twenty feet away. I rolled over and tried to get up but my legs were aching. I had to crawl very slowly but I finally reached the bag. I had just grasped one arm of it when I felt it get ripped out of my hands. Through the smoke, I could just barely see the figure running away. As they ran I saw a piece of their jacket get ripped off onto a branch.

My head was starting to clear and I was able to walk again so I hurried over and looked at the ripped fabric. I could barely make out the letters but it defiantly said FBI. So I was just a pawn to them, they only wanted the clarinet. They were the ones that blew up the area. If I had died in the explosion they probably wouldn't have cared.

Only two things were clear in my head. Number one: The FBI had the clarinet. Number two: They were willing to have me killed in the process of getting it. The main question was still in my head. Now that they had it, what were they planning on doing with it?

I didn't want to move right away but I didn't want the guards to catch me. I decided to camouflage myself in the trees until I could move freely again. It went by slowly, but I finally managed to dig a tiny groove that would fit my body in it. Once I was lying down I pulled branches and leaves over top of me. I only hoped it would be enough to hide me.

I must fallen asleep because the next time I opened my eyes my head was cleared and I felt groggy. The stiffness in my joints seemed to have multiplied so it took me a while to sit up. I searched in my backpack for a few minutes before I remembered the clarinet was gone.

Finally I got enough energy to get up. I fell over a few times before gaining my sense of balance. Then I went in search of food. I couldn't find any berry bushes so I ripped off a piece of pine bark to chew on. It kept my mouth busy at least.

I knew my only way out of the forest was to go back to the same place I came in. I started back, following my old footprints which were starting to fade. I had been walking for about an hour when I reached the guards' building. I saw the broken windows and the burned roof and I knew the FBI must have stopped here before finding me.

I didn't bother trying to hide as I walked past. If there were any survivors they wouldn't be in any condition to stop me. I walked for another half hour before reaching the edge of the forest.

The nearest town was about five miles from here so I had to keep moving. I didn't want to risk hitchhiking because for one the FBI could be watching me. And besides, nobody picks up hitchhikers anyway.

Sam felt the sun shining down on his shoulders while he sat happily by the stream. It was a perfect sunny day and luckily he was spending it with Sarah. Then, all at once Sarah pointed at the water. “Look Sam!” Sarah exclaimed. “It is a fish a big one ”

Sam said, "Woh that is a big fish"

The big fish is jumping high in the air. Sarah said "Should we go and c the fish" Sam said "i guess we could try"

So they try to c
